The castle of Beloeil in the territory of the Hainaut is surrounded by its moats for over eight centuries. This domain has been the residence of the Princes of Ligne since the XIVth century. With its surface of 25 ha, the park and the castle form one of the most beautiful entities of the Belgian patrimony. The French garden is a harmonious alternation of water and greenery, shadows and light. It is maintained with respect for the original design, dating from 1664. For over 20 years, this park receives the biggest Belgian manifestation of classical music. About 15.000 people stroll around the park to enjoy the performances of the artists on the numerous stages of this huge music festival.
